TOTUS: It wasn't me.
On September 18th, American Thinker reported* that President Obama had omitted the word "Creator" while giving a speech, when citing The Declaration of Independence.
Having reviewed the video, I speculated thusly here at AT:
After President Obama says "created equal..", there is a long pause during which he scowls and blinks several times. For once, he may actually have opted to not read something that was on the teleprompter. It looks like he is disgusted and decided it would be better not to read what the preamble actually says.
The Blaze has obtained a copy of President Obamas prepared remarks, that is, what was actually on teleprompter he was reading from.
The remarks prepared for President Obama's speech did not contain any portion of the Declaration of Independence; President Obama ad-libbed these lines - badly.
The word "Creator" is the most important word, in one of the most important passages written in all of human history. Either President Obama does not know these passages, or he deliberately chose to omit the word "Creator." Which is it?
*We have just been informed that Free Republic beat us to the story here, so we cannot claim to be first.
