John Cusack; tweeting under the influence
Sunday night, Chicago area native John Cusack took a hard left turn into the realm of twitter infamy. Cusack, who is well known to have made nonsensical political comments on previous occasions while under the influence of Hollywood liberalism tweeted.
"I AM FOR A SATANIC DEATH CULT CENTER AT FOX NEWS HQ AND OUTSIDE THE OFFICES OF DICK ARMEY AND NEWT GINGRICH-and all the GOP WELFARE FREAKS."
Gosh, don't you just love it when a touchy, feely liberal actor speaks from the heart? Perhaps we should cut Cusack a little slack, after all as a strong supporter of Barack Obama and his socialist agenda these can't be very happy times for him. Even the Huffington Post has not been able to suppress Obama's falling approval numbers and for a devout leftist like Johnny that must really hurt.
The timing of Cusack's hateful tweet suggests that Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor Rally" may have played a role in the actor's meltdown. The mere thought of several hundred thousand Americans gathering in Washington for a peaceful, non-political, non-partisan celebration of faith and country would be enough to drive any Hollywood liberal into the ditch.
Maybe fellow traveler Alec Baldwin will reach out to his comrade and offer some consolation and career advice. In an appearance on Conan O'Brien's show in 1998, Alec had an on-camera meltdown and unleashed the following.
"I'm thinking to myself if we were in other countries, we would all, right now, all of us together...would go down to Washington and we would stone [Republican U.S. Representative] Henry Hyde to death! We would stone him to death! Wait!...Shut up! No shut up! I'm not finished. We would stone Henry Hyde to death, and we would go to their homes and we'd kill their wives and their children. We would kill their families."
Of course Baldwin was driven into this rage because his good friend Bill Clinton was facing impeachment at the time, how much can one liberal actor take anyhow?
If only Woody Allen's dream of an Obama dictatorship could somehow become a reality, then Fox News, Glenn Beck, Newt, Rush and anyone else who stands up for freedom could be silenced! Oh what a wonderful new world it would be; peace, social justice and happiness everywhere and no need for John Cusack to be upset.
Coming Soon to a liberals imagination near you, ‘Barack Obama's Excellent New World Order' staring John Cusack, Alec Baldwin, Danny Glover, Jane Fonda, Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon, Demi Moore, Janeane Garofalo and special guest star Harry Belafonte as Barack Obama Sr. Screen play by Woody Allen. Directed by Oliver Stone (by special arrangement with Hugo Chavez).
