Illegal Immigrants and Slavery
AT submissions editor Larrey Anderson compares the morality of America's tolerance of illegal immigration to the morality of America's tolerance of slavery a century and a half ago in an article on Pajamas Media:
Our continued tolerance of illegal immigration is as unconscionable as America's former acceptance of slavery. While the ethical implications of the treatment of illegal immigrants are quite complex, the solution to the problem of illegal immigration is simple.
As is usual with Larrey Anderson, the argument is nuanced, and the conclusions forceful. Advocates of illegal immigration tend to see themselves as having the moral high ground. Anderson demolishes their stance.
