Illegal Immigrants and Crime
Well, look at this: illegal immigrants make up 7.6% of the population of Arizona, yet they account for 14.7% "of Arizona's prison population, with none being incarcerated merely for their immigration status." I know, disproportionate incarceration rates are prima facie evidence of racism, as Al Sharpton is wont to lecture us. If that's so, men of America rise up! Women in American prisons and jails (see here and here) account for less than 10% of the total incarcerated population! Demand that males be released until fully 50.7% of all prisoners are female! End discrimination now!
Incidentally, violent crime in Arizona has decreased significantly in the past two years, dovetailing with the drop in illegals here due to increased state enforcement and a poor job market. Coincidence?
