Colin Powell admits he uses illegal aliens to fix his house
Thanks to Colin Powell, we're now back to the "argument" that illegals should be made legal because they do the work Americans won't do.
From Fox News:
Former Secretary of State Colin Powell says illegal immigrants do essential work in the U.S. and he has firsthand knowledge of that -- because they fix his house.
Powell, a moderate Republican, urged his party Sunday to support immigration generally because it is "what's keeping this country's lifeblood moving forward."
In an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press," he said a path to legal status should be offered to illegal immigrants because they "are doing things we need done in this country."
He added: "They're all over my house, doing things whenever I call for repairs, and I'm sure you've seen them at your house. We've got to find a way to bring these people out of the darkness and give them some kind of status."
Powell did not say whether he's hired illegal immigrants directly or they showed up with contractors.
Several notes from this article caught my attention:
First, the report doesn't forget to mention that Powell is a moderate Republican, which we all know means a democrat operating under the right's umbrella, but the media in this case wants to tie a "Republican" to the pro-illegal immigration movement.
Second, Powell further exposed his liberalism with the comment "I'm sure you've seen them at your house." Really? So the next time I have a plumber over, I should be able to tell just from looking at him that he's illegal? That would be wise, especially for someone who is of Latin American descent and lives in a city where the majority of the population is of Latin American descent. Remember, the real racists come from the left of the political spectrum.
Lastly, of course Powell didn't mention whether the illegals working at his home were direct hires or individuals working with contractors, he doesn't care, just change his blinds and fix his garbage disposal and get the hell out!

The left, Powell included, has lost the illegal immigration debate. The majority of Americans don't support amnesty for any reason whatsoever, and don't think we don't notice that it is by and large the elite who continue to actively support such a measure, yet the only exposure they have to illegals is when they need their grass cut or their toilet fixed.
Spare us your feigned indignation.
