Rub a Dub Dub, a Really Dumb Snub
Excuse me? The president refuses to take a letter from the chief executive of a geopolitical entity with an economy equal to or greater than that of Canada or India? And it's critical state in the president's very own country, a state with the potential capability of helping to save the American economy? What's wrong with that picture where the inexperienced and struggling chief executive of a hugely failing economy disrespects the confident and capable chief executive of one of the few bright spots in the overall economic picture of America?
What it says in spades to most Americans who pay attention to such political intricacies is that the fool on the hill who is losing ground every day in every category, arrogantly and stupidly refuses to acknowledge the wisdom of a major political opponent who is presiding over success while the fool's getting taken to school.
Obama's snub of Perry could be grist for much political fodder should Perry emerge as the Republican contender for president in 2012. Perry is sharp, smart and doing a much better job of successfully leading Texas than Obama is America. Perry is a former Air Force pilot rather than a former community organizer. As for looking presidential, the confident, handsome, grizzled Perry makes Obama look exactly like what he is, a phony, fast-talking loser of a community organizer from Chicago.
Wouldn't it be absolutely delicious irony to watch Obama after one failed term turning over the reins of power to a smiling Rick Perry? Delicious indeed.
