Now that's crazy even by Jerry Springer standards!
Even since 1991 former Queen City mayor Jerry Springer has been rummaging through the trash can of society to find the most outrageous individuals and bizarre stories to present to his daytime television audience. Nothing is too weird or distasteful for the Jerry Springer Show. There is always a place for the incestuous, transsexuals, neo-Nazis, Klansmen and sideshow rejects.
Thursday night on Sean Hannity's show, Jerry ventured into a realm of delusional thought that would be considered crazy even by his own standards. During his brief, but memorable appearance Springer told Sean Hannity "I think Barack Obama has done a good job as president. In fact, I'd say even better than good." When Mr. Hannity challenged Springer with some actual facts on Obama's out of control spending and toxic healthcare program, the day-time TV icon refused to abandon his twisted hallucination and added.
..."I must admit he's turned out to be an excellent president."
[...]
"He didn't make popular moves-he made courageous moves," he said. "And the fact of the matter is people can go to banks today and have some sense that there money is still there. ...Plus a lot of people have health insurance now that didn't have health insurance before, God bless that,"
"You're living in a Jerry Springer fantasy world," Hannity said.
"Well, it's a nice place to be. I welcome you to my world," Springer said.
Now that Springer has fully exposed himself on a legitimate program, he will have to deal with the unintended consequences for his own show. How will the staff at the Jerry Springer Show ever find material to compete with his confession of Obama love? The bar would now seem to be set impossibly low.
