Obama's rat and the Gore effect

A recent banner on the Drudge Report featured an AP story and photo about a rodent scurrying along the steps in front of Obama's podium in the Rose Garden as he announced a breakthrough in financial reform legislation. No big deal, right?

Once the president concluded his remarks and retired, the press engaged in strident debate regarding the species of the interloper, because this was not the first sighting. The same (or similar) critter was seen last week in the Rose Garden while Obama lectured on the oil spill in the Gulf. Other sightings have occurred inside the White House.

One cannot resist an obvious comparison with Gore's unwanted companion known as the Gore Effect (as meticulously documented at Climate Depot ) As you know the Gore Effect postulates that wherever the Nobel winner wanders in his mission to preach against the horrors of global warming, supernaturally cold temperatures greet his arrival.

Similarly, it would appear that each time our Scarlet Leader steps forward to announce that he is cleaning house, his loyal rats stage a rally in front of his teleprompter. (Further reference: Democrats cavorting during Obama/Calderon comments on Arizona immigration law.)

In the case of Algore, "omnipresent" might be best defined as: "A phenomenon of Mother Nature betraying the fraud of environmental opportunists"; or, in the case of Obama: "Dishonesty presented in rodent form as a metaphor of deceit."

All kidding aside, the substance and tone of the AP article suggest that the MSM are growing weary of the arrogance and dissembling of the Rodent-in-Chief; just read the last few paragraphs for proof.
