Governor Christie schools a reporter

Do you want to see what a leader looks like ? How a pol with no tolerance for fools asserts pragmatism? Chris Christie, New Jersey's governor, is a leader whose political outlook is the Left's worst nightmare. The following clip begins with Christie responding to a reporter, who asks, "Governor, do you think this sort of confrontational tone you're taking can increase your odds of getting this through the legislature?"

Gov Christie calls S-L columnist thin-skinned for inquiring about his 'confrontational tone'

Christie responds by saying, "You know, Tom (the reporter), you must be the thinnest-skinned guy in America. Because if you think that's a confrontational tone, then you should really see me when I'm pissed.... I love it when people say they don't want to have argument. That's what we were sent here for. They (the unions) believe in certain things. They believe in bigger government, higher taxes and more spending. I believe in less government, lower taxes and in empowering local officials who are elected by their citizens to be able to fix their problems."

It gets better. Christie's approach to fiscal honesty is the antidote for malaise. Pandering, lying and dissimulating are out. Finally, in Jersey, leadership is in.
