Comfort ye
The Federal seizure of our free medical economy is a great defeat for America's long tradition of individualism, freedom, and prosperity. It is a dangerous step toward dependent slavery and soft tyranny.
Mourning is a natural reaction to this invasion of our rights and freedoms, and so is outrage. This is not a time to surrender or give up. But we must adapt to a setback, and build our fortifications and defenses to stop any more. We will continue to resist the political aggression from the Left, and in time, we will reverse it and freedom will win again.
Meanwhile, free peoples have suffered defeats before. I like to listen to Handel's music of consolation at times like this. Loss and consolation are a normal part of life. We can take a little bit of time to heal, and then renew the American Resistance.
In Washington, D.C., there are no permanent victories, and no permanent defeats.
It is up to us to make it so.
I highly recommend spending a dollar on iTunes or Amazon to download your favorite performance of Handel's music, especially the "Comfort Ye" movement, from Isaiah 40:1-3. Theology doesn't matter. It's the music that is healing.
Rebuild your strength and when the next chance comes, arise and arise to win another victory for freedom. Never give up. America has seen setbacks before, and overcome them. We will overcome this one.
