Tenure killer still on University payroll
Now that Amy Bishop, the Tenure Killer, has officially gotten lawyered up,
the last remaining leg of the media/university/academia troika is firmly in place. Watch
closely as the unprincipled hacks of the liberal left pull out all of their tricks to defend
the indefensible actions of someone who is truly one of their own.
Huntsville attorney Roy W. Miller was appointed by Madison County District Court judge Ruth Madison to serve as Bishop's lawyer in the case of the murder of three of her colleagues at the University of Alabama branch there. Apparently Ms. Bishop has her wits enough about her to file an affadavit of indigency stating that she is unable to afford an attorney (see the affadavit here .)
This free legal service was provided despite the fact that Bishop's family income appears to be in the $150,000 annual range, not including government grants and funds from projects performed by her biotech company.
Pretty quick thinking on the alleged Tenure Killer's part. When it comes to recalling details of her actions in the faculty meeting which left three professors dead and several critically wounded, however, the self-proclaimed 180 IQ genius is suddenly considerably dimmer:
"Defense attorney Roy Miller said Dr. Amy Bishop told police she didn't shoot anybody and didn't understand what was going on."
Although attorney Miller doesn't seem to have mastered the legal profession sufficiently to buy a ticket out of the court-appointed-lawyer pool, he clearly understands how to help his client game the legal system.
Meanwhile, back at the university, Amy Bishop remains on the payroll:
"... university officials say she's still on the payroll, but her job is ending at
the end of the semester because she was denied tenure."
Did I fall down the rabbit hole with Alice or something? This hubristic, murderous sociopath doesn't even have tenure yet, but the University keeps her on the payroll after what certainly looks like pre-meditated serial murder. What do you have to do to get fired at the U of A, Huntsville? Vote for Sarah Palin?
