New US embassy in Britain going Medieval
America's 21st century embassy in London will meld 10th century defenses with 21st century hoax-ism. Abandoning its old site at Grosvenor square, the new US embassy will relocate at a cost of $1 billion (sure to go up) to a former industrial site in Battersea now known for its gay clubs, according to an article in the TimesOnline
The new embassy building, constructed at sixty-six percent greater cost than similarly besieged structures in hostile locations such as Baghdad will sport the latest innovations in western defense technology:
A moat 30 metres (100ft) wide and rolling parkland will separate the building from the main road, protecting it from would-be bombers and removing the need for the blast barriers that so dismayed the people of Mayfair.
Fortunately, we can all take pride in the fact that the new structure will return more energy to Britain's power grid than it uses.
Are we falling back on the military paradigms of the Crusades?
