Obama Fouls His Own Nest

Hey Obama constituencies!   How’s that “HOPE” and “CHANGE” working for ya?

Labor:

Based on U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 12-4-2009:

National unemployment has risen from 7.6% in January 2009 to 10% in November 2009.  Among the major worker groups, unemployment rates for adult men (10.5 per-cent), adult women (7.9 percent), teenagers (26.7 percent), whites (9.3 per-cent), blacks (15.6 percent), and Hispanics (12.7 percent) showed little change in November. The unemployment rate for Asians was 7.3 percent.

African Americans:

Based on U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Money.CNN.com reports:

The black community has suffered the hardest during the economic downturn, with an unemployment rate that currently stands at 15.6%. That's a much higher rate than for all of the other races that the Labor Department tracks, including Hispanics (12.7%), whites (9.3%) and Asians (7.3%).  The jobless rate for blacks has also grown much faster than for other races.

Black Congressional Caucus members such as Rep.Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), and John Conyers (D-Mich.) and the website Root.com blame Obama.

Environmentalists:

President Obama’s failure to garner agreement on the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP15) treaty with emissions goals, enforcement provisions and “reparations” payments from rich countries to undeveloped nations.

The green-leaning London Guardian newspaper blames Obama.
Green Peace calls the President’s lack of “climate control” at the summit a “cop-out.”

Anti-war activists:

President Obama on accepting a Nobel Prize for Peace stated his surge of 35,000 additional troops to Afghanistan is to prosecute a “just war.”

Anti-war activists groups have ash-canned the old “Bush lied, People Died” protest signs.

A new pacifist organization has been formed, “End U.S. Wars.org,” to protest Obama war policy.  Demonstrations are underway. Former Presidential candidates Ralph Nader, Dennis Kucinich are involved.

Garden variety left-wingers:

Michael Goodwin, writing for the New York Post says he is “Dreading Our Future:”

President Obama, for whom I voted because I believed he was the best choice available, is a profound disappointment. I now regard his campaign as a sly bait-and-switch operation, promising one thing and delivering another. Shame on me.
Equally surprising, he has become an insufferable bore. The grace notes and charm have vanished, with peevishness and petty spite his default emotions. His rhetorical gifts now serve his loathsome habit of fear-mongering.

Thanks to President Obama, we are ALL celebrating a very “wary” Christmas.
