Liberals threaten breast cancer research
So liberals, progressives, lefties--or whatever term they're employing to fog over their real goals--like portraying themselves as tolerant and open minded, accepting multiple points of view in practice they're worse than screaming two year olds who will do anything--anything--to get their own way no matter the damage they cause others.
Screaming, screeching lefties are so mad, mad, even angry at Senator Joseph Lieberman's (fairly independent-CT) courageous stance against the present budget busting, Democrat government take over of health care that sites such as the far left Daily Kos are getting back at Lieberman by demanding that the respected, breast cancer fund raising organization, Susan G. Komen Foundation, fire his wife Hadassah, a paid good will ambassador for the organization.
In addition to the evilness of her marriage to the independent, tough minded senator, who ran--and won--after his Democratic party abandoned him for another, Hadassah Lieberman had a career as a-- gasp!--lobbyist for pharmaceutical companies. Another lefty site, Firedoglake.com, has exerted similar pressure, according to Fox News. (So much for the liberal mantra that women are not merely a shadow of their husbands but independent individuals with the right to independent careers.)
And if the Susan G. Komen Foundation doesn't follow their directives why then the lefties will just take their marbles, ie, their pitiful donations to the organization and go home. "When Komen dumps Lieberman, then we will all resume donating to them," stated a DailyKos blogger. So there! (So much for the liberal mantra that they care for women and are helping them against a major killer of women.)
To their credit, the Komen Foundation replied
"Hadassah Lieberman is an important and valued global ambassador for Susan G. Komen for the Cure," the group said in a written statement. "As a global ambassador, Ms. Lieberman is focused on helping us reach out and educate women outside our borders about breast cancer, sharing our knowledge and experience in a culturally sensitive way that is making a real impact on the lives of women across the globe. We have every intention of continuing our relationship with Ms. Lieberman in our mutual pursuit of a world without breast cancer."
And when and if there is "a world without breast cancer" it will be because of the efforts of the pharmaceutical companies, hard working researchers, dedicated fund raisers and yes some tax payer moneys. It will not be because of the threats of the lefties; it will be in spite of them.
