Head of UN climate body wants climategate inquiry
It's getting harder and harder for the legacy media to ignore climategate. Now even the UN itself is recognizing climategate is serious business.
The BBC reports:
The BBC reports:
The head of the UN's climate science body says claims that UK scientists manipulated data on global warming should be investigated.Dr Rajendra Pachauri, head of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), said the matter could not be swept "under the carpet".
[snip]"We will certainly go into the whole lot and then we will take a position on it," he said."We certainly don't want to brush anything under the carpet. This is a serious issue and we will look into it in detail."The IPCC is the global scientific body established to review and assess the most recent scientific research on climate change.
As with all the other inquiries, there must be open review. Anything less smacks of coverup. If climategate turns out to be a fraud, who needs a powewrful IPCC? The calculus of self-interest demand an independent, open outside review.
