More good news for the GOP
Rudy Giuliani reportedly may run for the US Senate in New York. This is a huge plus for the GOP if he runs. Giuliani would have an uphill fight against Andrew Cuomo in the governor's race, but has a far better shot at beating Kirsten Gillenbrand in the Senate race. If he runs, this will force the Democrats to spend tens of millions to defend the seat, when there are at least 7 other vulnerable Democratic Senate seats to defend.
In California today, a new poll shows Meg Whitman running even with Jerry Brown for Governor. This suggests that even a non-Arnold Republican might win in California. Jerry Brown may just seem like too much of yesterday for many Californians. Any analyst who does not see a big wave forming at the moment must be looking away from it.
