Nutcracking Liberalism
As the exposé into the liberal criminal enterprise known as ACORN continues, the statement released over the weekend from the organization's chief organizer, Bertha Lewis, further casts a light on several of the damaging and faulty beliefs of liberalism.
Lewis's full statement can be found here, but let's examine a few of the points she makes in that statement:
The relentless attacks on ACORN's members, its staff and the policies and positions we promote are unprecedented. An international entertainment conglomerate, disguising itself as a "news" agency (Fox), has expended millions, if not tens of millions of dollars, in their attempt to destroy the largest community organization of Black, Latino, poor and working class people in the country.
First, attacking Fox plays well with her base because they aren't fans of Fox, but it's a losing strategy. Fox News continues to dominate the ratings and that's because people believe that particular network provides them with news more so than partisan cheerleading. Obviously she makes no mention of the other media sources because they have shown a preference to whitewash and spike news stories that have a negative effect on the radical leftist administration we have in the White House, and that includes anything involving ACORN, with whom the president has intimate ties to.
Lesson #1: Only pro-liberal media organizations can be trusted and exposing the truth about liberals --with clear evidence--is nothing more than an attack, smear campaign, and/or act of racism.
I am appalled and angry; I cannot and I will not defend the actions of the workers depicted in the video, who have since been terminated. But it is clear that the videos are doctored, edited, and in no way the result of the fabricated story being portrayed by conservative activist "filmmaker" O'Keefe and his partner in crime. And, in fact, a crime it was - our lawyers believe a felony - and we will be taking legal action against Fox and their co-conspirators.
Second, we can't possibly take seriously Ms. Lewis's claim that the videos were doctored and edited, because she precedes that statement with a denounciation of the actions of her employees. If the videos were doctored, why were the employees fired? Moreover, she doesn't even bother to state how exactly she believes they were doctored. Did two twenty-something year olds walk in off the street and force employees in three different offices to conspire with them to commit multiple felonies? Were the fired employees really just actors that were super-imposed into the videos decked out in ACORN gear and with retroactively established backgrounds with the organization? We shouldn't really be surprised at this pathetic attempt at damage control because nobody talks out of both sides of their mouth better than a liberal.
Lesson #2: Forget the concept of common sense, but only when it pertains to a liberal. After all, they are the only ones that tell the truth and anyone who says anything against them is clearly just a "lying liar".
We are an organization committed to halting the foreclosure crisis and keeping people in their homes. We are an organization committed to ensuring quality, affordable health care for every American. We are an organization that will not be stopped in our commitment to our members and our communities which has included.
Lastly, do we need to be reminded what hand ACORN has in supporting the liberal agenda? In typical leftist fashion, we must remember that regardless of all that is wrong and continues to be exposed about them, they're really here only to do good for us all.
But never mind that keeping people in their homes means cutting off the padlocks to homes that have been foreclosed on. Never mind that being committed to ensuring quality, affordable health care means attending town-hall meetings and using methods of intimidation to keep voices of dissent from being heard.
ACORN is so committed to helping that for their efforts they were dismissed last week by the Census Bureau from any involvement in the 2010 Census. Yesterday, they were further acknowledged by the Senate via Mike Johanns‘s (R-NE) amendment to the HUD and Transportation Appropriations Bill which strips them of any additional federal funding and James O'Keefe's release of a third video that shows more helpful ACORN employees at their Brooklyn office has caught the attention of the Kings County District Attorney's office.
Lesson #3: Liberals are always here to help you and they are the only ones with the unwavering dedication to do just that, help. And as the evidence has shown, they're even willing to break the law just to help you!
Why haven't I signed up already?
Because they will go to immoral and unethical lengths to further their cause, because they believe I'm too stupid to think for myself and I should just believe whatever they say, and lastly because I don't believe they really care about helping me.
ACORN is exemplary of what liberalism is in a nutshell, and we need to continue to crack it.
