Gibbs' mushy statement on CIA prosecutions
Can anyone decipher this statement?
ROBERT GIBBS statement 'on the Department of Justice Inquiry': 'The president has said repeatedly that he wants to look forward, not back, and the president agrees with the attorney general that those who acted in good faith and within the scope of legal guidance should not be prosecuted. Ultimately, determinations about whether someone broke the law are made independently by the attorney general.'
Now that the core functions of the CIA are being stripped away and centralized in the Imperial Presidency, maybe we can devote some CIA manpower to figuring out Robert Gibbs!
This "on the one hand, on the other hand," approach to smearing and prosecuting CIA officials for protecting our nation belies Obama's call for transparency and honesty.
Does Obama support Justice Holder's crusade against the CIA, yes or no?
