Michael Vick's Community Service
Michael Vick begins serving his community service at the Humane Society, next week, as a condition of release on his federal dog fighting conviction. I have a suggestion, providing of course that the Humane Society could spare him for a day. Send Michael Vick to the White House to explain to Mr. Obama that he does not have to have a dog in every fight to justify his presidency.
In fact most dogfights are better left to other, lesser, race baiting professionals like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Jeremiah Wright and now Henry L. Gates. These fights used to be well below the dignity of the Oval Office, but that was before we had a Community Organizer in Chief.
It should be disturbing to all Americans that the President, the nation's Chief Law Enforcement Officer, chose to play the race card against Officer James Crowley and the entire Cambridge Police Department at his press conference on Health Care.
It is clear to me that the White House and the MSM thought that they needed to set up a subject changing question, instead of presenting a positive factual case for the Democrat's healthcare proposal. If Obamacare could stand on its merits, why wouldn't the President let it? Hence, the choice to use Chicago Sun, Huffington Post columnist Lynn Sweet's prepared question to end the Obamacare presser.
The White House / MSM scam was in reaction to a sobering reality delivered by Congressional Budget Office Director Douglas Elmendorf after the date & time of the Obamacare press conference had been announced. Mr. Elmendorf informed Senate Budget committee members that Obamacare would actually increase healthcare cost by $1,000,000,000,000.00 (trillion) dollars.
Isn't Mr. Elmendorf telling us that the "America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009" is a cynical fraud?
Mr. Obama has built his administration on a sand foundation, a house of cards, based on multiple lies and half truths. Just as a gyroscope begins to precess wildly out of control as it looses angular momentum, eventually losing its way and falling over, so too will the Obama Presidency wobble wildly as it continues to loose momentum and falls flat.
It is beginning to look like the prediction made by Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) about the Obama Presidency is the correct assessment. Healthcare will indeed turn out to be the Obama Presidency's Waterloo, just not precisely in the way Mr. DeMint predicted.
My guess is that, we will look back and see that the split second before Lynn Sweet's question was, in fact, the high water mark of the Obama Presidency.
