Yesterday, I was provided with the most absolute evidence that the direction this country is being taken is one that runs afoul of so many Americans.  My father, a 75-year old non-political, white male, watched the news report regarding GM and how it will now be forced into bankruptcy with the government and the union owning the majority stake of the new company that emerges.  He shook his head and made a comment that shook me to the core:  "This is the one time in my life that I'm glad I am old and that I don't have to be around much longer."  How many Americans are faced with this same thought?  Perhaps it's a sign of the times.
