Remembering Specter

I remember Specter from almost 40 years ago when he was Philadelphia D.A. My client. Jock Yablonski, his wife and daughter were murdered in their beds and we knew that the UMWA was behind it. It took years to successfully prosecute all the participants--ending finally with the union president Tony Boyle. And Specter never faltered in that. He gave us the best prosecution team and all the funds necessary for them to do their work..and it took guts for him to do that.

So, yes, this is a sad day for me -- remembering how brave he once was and how weak he is today.

Did they promise him the chairmanship of the Judiciary Committee? What does this mean for judicial nominees if that's so? And what of his staff?
