Biden: Israel would be 'ill-advised' to attack Iran

"I don't believe that Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu would do that. I think he would be ill-advised to do that," Biden told the U.S. network's reporter Wolf Blitzer.

I translate what Biden was really saying:

Bernard Lewis said that to Iran Mutual Assured Destruction is not a deterrent but an inducement, thanks to Iranian eschatological beliefs in the return  (triggered by a nuclear war) of the Mahdi, the Hidden 12th Imam. So it is quite probable that Iran would launch the Bomb at Israel the moment it gets it.

But since my administration is more worried about the rise in the price of oil than about the fate of 7 million of your citizens, we in the US do not plan to lift a finger to stop Iran militarily. We therefore do not want you to mess our plans up. You should completely rely on us stopping Iran through diplomacy alone, which will no doubt be as successful as our stopping of North Korea's latest missile launch the other day.
