Giveaway (a poem)
Something for nothing you should not git!
If you do, it will taste like so bad!
Especially when you realize that you have been had
By a slimy politician who was oh, oh so glad
To siphon off much more than his fair share
To live his rich life of devil may care
And dine at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City
Then look far down his long nose at you with almost no pity.
For you are one of his little people
Who attend his church without no steeple
And for whom every day he fervently prays
That you will remain his so obedient slaves.
Purchased with your hard earned money
Were it not so true, it would be funny.
You contributed one billion dollars to buy the presidency.
All the while you must continue to live in your squalid residency.
He has moved into public housing.
So take some credit, just don't be grousing,
Because he has promised to spread the wealth
Now he is talking about yours, but uses stealth.
Each will have six hundred dollars in his heaven.
The big problem is, you already have seven!
