Shoe Thrower's family fear retribution
Of course, the initial reaction to this New York Times headline
Family and Lawyer Fear for Reporter Who Threw His Shoes at Bush
is too bad!
The next reaction is where did he think he was--in the evil USA? At Guantanamo? And how would his family and lawyer have felt if he threw a shoe at Saddam Hussein?
The Arab world prides itself on its hospitality to a stranger, a guest. This cowardly reporter, cheered on by other BDS and anti American cowards around the world, deserves his fear. Did he expect those who cheered him on from the safety of their homes in America, guaranteed by President Bush and the USA, to help him? And all the human wrongs organizations to notice him? Care about him?
