Daniel Kurtzer for Middle East Envoy?
Recent news reports tip Daniel Kurtzer as Barack Obama's probable choice to be the new Middle East envoy when President-elect Obama assumes office
Although he is an observant Jew, and gains some credibility among Jewish voters because of this, there is reason for concern about Kurtzer's views towards diplomacy. They seem to consist of pressuring Israel and appeasing her adversaries. His history raises questions; his blueprint for the future of diplomacy was outlined in his recent book (co-written by Scott Lasensky).
