Obama promises a press conference - for Wednesday
He hasn't faced questions from the media for a month but that didn't stop ABC News from shouting a question about the bailout to Obama on the tarmac of an airport in Springfield, MO:
Do you suppose the press will do anything except fawn all over Obama if he wins on Tuesday? Any chance they might ask him a question or two about Bill Ayers? How about his attitude toward bankrupting coal power plant companies?ABC News: Senator Obama, what would you tell your Treasury Secretary do differently with the $700 billion?!
Obama: (laughs)
ABC News: It's a substantive question!
Obama: It is! But Jake, we're on a tarmac! That's a pretty good question!
ABC News: Have a press conference then!
Obama: I will! On Wednesday!
Didn't think so.
