Something Wrong with this Picture
The mainstream media has been nagging Sarah Palin to apologize for stating that people in North Carolina are patriotic. But they have said little about Democrat Congressman John Murtha calling the people of western Pennsylvania "racists" and "rednecks."
Here is what Palin said in a speech a few days ago:
"Being here with all of you hardworking, very patriotic, very pro-America areas of this great nation. This is where we find the kindness and the goodness and the courage of everyday Americans."
So Palin's words, calling the people she is speaking to " very patriotic," constitute some sort of gaffe?
Joe Biden thinks so:
"Ladies and gentlemen, I have never been to a state that hasn't sent its sons and daughters to serve its country," Biden said Friday in New Mexico as the crowd booed Palin's reported comments. "It doesn't matter where you live, we all love this country."
Biden did not comment on fellow Democrat John Murtha's continuing tirade. The Pennsylvania congressman has (twice now) accused his own constituents of being either racists or rednecks.
Where is the outrage? Where is the media?
Palin calls her audience patriotic. She must apologize -- and she is unfit to serve as vice-president. Democrat Congressman John Murtha calls his own constituents "racists" and "rednecks" -- and it looks like he might be reelected.
Something is very wrong with this picture.
