Joe Biden, cheapskate
What about all that rhetoric about helping little people? What about Michelle Obama running down America?
Now we know how Biden can afford a family compound. He gives a pittance to charity - nary a farthing. Of course, this would come as no surprise to people who have perused the book Who Really Cares: The Surprising Truth About Compassionate Conservatism and Who Gives, Who Doesn't, and Why it Matters by Arthur Brooks, the new head of the American Enterprise Institute. His book had reams of data showing the charitable impulse of conservatives and the...less than charitable (and that is being charitable) ways of the class of people known as Democrats.
But this is rather stark for a US Senator who can afford a family compound, who has one son who has been enriched by having a Senator as a father, and by having the drop-dead gorgeous wife who happens to be a Doctor. This miserly amount is all he can give as charity?

Despite income ranging from $210,432 - $321,379 over the ten-year period, the Bidens have given only $120 - $995 per year to charity, which amounts to 0.06% - 0.31% of their income.
Well the best that can be said is that the vast majority of that did not go to Pastor Jeremiah Wright who espouses racism and anti-Americanism - a practice the Obamas followed until it became politically uncomfortable for them
Don't so many on the left denigrate Americans as being cheap? Well, at least one Senator seems to fit that profile.
