Monica Conyers in Sludge Investigation (updated)
The FBI is investigating what appears to be corrupt practices by Detroit pols on a sludge contract. One of the persons reportedly under investigation is Monica Conyers, wife of Congressman Conyers. There's nothing that can't be turned into graft in Detroit, not even sludge. h/t:rs Update -- Ed Lasky writes; If Monica Conyers , wife of Congressman John Conyers, Jr., is involved in this investigation the irony is manifest. Her husband is the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. From that post, he has engaged in a series of politically motivated actions to embarrass the Administration or engage in other witch hunts . Maybe he should have tended the nest a bit better rather than waste the taxpayer's time and money with partisan attacks that are much about sound and fury but signify nothing. |
