Bush refuses to play Nanny on energy conservation

It's been a while since I've had much good to say about President Bush so here you go all you Bush fans.

Kudos to President Bush for treating the American people like adults by not nagging us about saving energy.

Even more amazing is that liberals and the media are criticizing Bush for not reminding Americans to turn their thermostats up, drive less, carpool more, and generally do the things that any American adult with an IQ over 80 is doing already.

They feel if government isn't nannying us to death, we're just too dumb to do the things that will save us money.

Government is an annoying fact of life and the less of it we hear about the better. If liberals want someone to tell them what to do in this energy crisis, I suggest they nag each other and leave the rest of us alone. We're big boys and girls and are perfectly capable of acting in our own, private interest without them or the government getting on our backs about doing the right thing.

Thank you Mr. President.
