Recycled hacks and reprobates
Obama's VP search committee will consist of former Fannie Mae chief Jim Johnson who was featured prominently in the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight's May 2006 report on mismanagement and corruption at that entity, and Eric Holder, a name featured in the disgraceful last minute pardons granted by President Clinton, including that of financier Marc Rich, and Carolina Kennedy, whose major qualifications appears to be her last name and early endorsement.
To make Obama's first day as the presumptive nominee even more interesting, late yesterday afternoon a Chicago jury convicted Obama friend, campaign contributor and partner in a real estate transaction, Tony Rezko, on 16 or 24 political corruption charges.
For someone who is being treated as the messiah of change Obama's political associates seem to lean rather heavily towards the recycled hacks, reprobates and the nostalgic.
