Another Raw Deal for Israel
Am I missing something here, or is Israel agreeing to one of rawest deals in recent memory?
Isreal gets from Hezbollah:
- - The two dead soldiers that were kidnapped to spark the Israel-Lebanon war from two years ago
- - Body parts of Israeli soldiers from the conflict
- - Information on Ron Arad, an Israeli airman whose plane crashed in Lebanon in 1986
Israel gives up:
- - Samir Kantar, serving multiple life sentences for killing three Israelis in 1979, including a 4-year-old girl whose head was smashed in with his rifle butt.
- - Four other Lebanese prisoners (all living)
- - Undisclosed number of Palestinian prisoners (all living)
- - Dozens of bodies
In summary, Israeli is trading the living for the dead - and paying a brutal price.
