Obama abandons American workers
Barack Obama talks the talk when addressing union audiences, hitting the notes they want to hear about NAFTA and the job losses he and they attribute to lowering trade barriers. But when it comes to supporting domestic industries, he tells American workers to take a walk, at least when it come to his nice-looking suits.
Gar Joseph of the Philadelphia Daily News reports that Obama buys British Burberry suits "off the rack", even thought home town Chicago-based Hart Schaffner Marx has offered to make him custom suits. It seems the candidate is just too busy to make time for domestic worker-produced clothes.
More evidence of the difference between Obama's rhetoric and performance.
