A rescue for Old Glory

There is an inspiring story today at the Multi-National Force-Iraq website,, about the principled, patriotic actions of Georgia resident, Dan Turner.  His father fought in WW2, during which his Mother served with the Marine Corps.  His brother was killed in Vietnam.  Dan believes deeply that the American flag deserves respect and honor, so when he saw one dishonorably displayed as landscape art at a Georgia apartment complex, he acted.

Ensuing events led to that flag being sent to Iraq, where it now flies proudly over Forward Operating Base Delta.  Read the uplifting Dan Turner story and you'll feel better today.
