Jimmy Carter's Curious Endorsement
Refusing to support any of the present Democratic contenders for president, one term former president Jimmy Carter stated:
"Although if Gore decided to run for President, I would support him."
Continuing his fantasyland musings
The former president also predicted a Democrat will win the presidency and thinks they should focus on: ending torture; controlling nuclear weapons; promoting peace in the Middle East "with equality of treatment between Israelis and their neighbors;" giving equal tax breaks to both poor and rich people; separating religion from politics; and promoting diplomacy and not pre-emptive war.
Well at least Carter is a former president.
