Saluting the National Guard on its 371st birthday
From the North, South and East Regiments of the Massachusetts Militia in 1636, through the Civil War, WW2 on up to the global war against Islamofascism, the National Guard has been there to serve and to sacrifice for 19 generations.
This item from the DoD website tells the story. Today, they continue to protect us, nearby and far away. Thanks and congratulations to all Guardsmen and Guardswomen.
