Did Iran pay for Zogby's 9/11 poll?
Sweetness & Light presents stunning information suggesting Iran paid for the recent Zogby poll which claimed that 42% of Americans believe Bush either caused 9/11 or let it happen.
...the poll was "commissioned" by Press TV, which is owned and operated by the Iranian government. From Zogby International:Press TV/Zogby International Poll Results
Survey Methodology [Zogby America Adults] 09/06/07 thru 09/09/07Zogby International was commissioned by [Press TV] to conduct a telephone survey of [adults]. [....]From Wikipedia:Press TV
PRESS TV is an English language international television news channel which is funded by the Iranian government, based in Tehran and broadcasts in English on a round-the-clock schedule. With 26 international correspondents and more than 400 staff around the world, its stated mission is to offer a different and unbiased view of the world events.... [boldface in original]This work by Zogby on Iran's behalf may even be illegal, since American businesses have been restricted from dealing with Iran (pdf file) because of its sponsorship of terrorism. Although some of these sanctions have been subsequently relaxed.
This certainly bears investigation. Subpoenas would be helpful, if the legal issues are substantive.
