Pathetic powerbrokers (a poem)
Each Congressperson sucking a thumb,
Hanging on an earlobe, playing dumb,
Is an affront to our American pride.
On whose strong shoulders will our freedom ride
As these sagging statespeople shudder and sigh,
Staring at their shoes as the flag goes by?
How can we possibly bridge the gap
Between these squeakers caught in their own mouse trap
And the strong, brave fighters for Liberty
Who shed their blood to keep us free?
Let's strip them of power, take away their clout
And in 2008 LET'S VOTE THEM OUT!
