Rice opens Iranian art show
Secretary of State Condi Rice again shows the duplicity and moral blindness that all too frequently infects the US State Department. On May, 10th she opened an Iranian art show showcasing the work of 30 contemporary Iranian artists. Americans will view this work and supposedly will develop warm and fuzzy feelings towards Iran.
What they won't see is the whitewashing of the Iranian regime. Just a few moths ago, that regime was hosting its own art show. This was the cartoon contest that celebrated the deriding of Jews and the mocking of the Holocaust. What is especially insensitive is that Condi Rice honored the Iranian art show in Washington, D.C, home of the Holocaust Museum.
Why the diplomatic whitewashing?
