World Bank: clean it up or shut it down
In a powerful editorial the Wall Street Journal reviews the way the mandarinate at the World Bank forced Paul Wolfowitz out on ethics charges they now admit were false, while Secretary of the Treasury and Secretary of State Rice acted too late and too ineffectually; how in the process the corruption at the Bank was exposed, and asks the President to send in someone else who will clean it up or shut it down.
Amen.
