Let America remain generous and effective

Often, many Christians who oppose this mass immigration bill are made to feel as though they are not doing what Christ would have wanted them to do.  On the other hand, they look at the numbers and see that the system that has brought hope and charity to the world for many years will simply break.  I am of the mind that we are a generous country, the most generous, and we can do the most for people when we are taxed less and can see to it that our hard earned money is going to something worthwhile.  I haven't seen an article from one of your more philosophical writers justifying the Christians view on opposing immigration.  This may be an idea whose time has come.  Thanks, and keep up the excellent work.
