Boston Globe misses the mark
The Boston Globe "reports" today that any notions of Iraq being the central front for Al-Qaeda are just GOP talking points without any substance, "pointing out that Al-Qaeda in Iraq is not overseen by bin Laden."
It's too bad that Osama bin Laden's right-hand man, Alma Ayman al-Zawahiri, doesn't read the the Globe. Quoting the Times of London:
"In a letter sent to the leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq in the past few weeks, Zawahiri claims that it is defeating US forces and urges followers to expand their campaign of terror."
Update: Ace of Spades HQ notes that the Globe has been snookered and is "reporting" other false data about Iraq. (hat tip: Larwyn)
