Inspired Nancy (a poem)
Talk is inspiring. Talk is fun.
How can anywhere anyone
Turn away and seek to deny
A winning smile and a popping eye?
Nancy is coming. Nancy will stay
Until everyone everywhere sees things her way.
Cease your bickering! Sheath your swords!
Hold back the unrelenting hordes
Of tasteless military volunteers.
Righteousness triumphs! Righteousness sneers
At those who choose might over groveling diplomacy,
Who can’t master the grace of the humiliating bended knee.
Go forth, Nancy, the world embrace!
And please don’t embarrassingly fall on your face.
