After 2008 (a poem)
Our left-leaning guest poet His Smartness, Liberali Maximallus, the creation of G.W. Gorge, offers his thoughts on what he wants out of the 2008 election:
My 2008 appeal is simple.
Mr. or Mrs. resident President,
Roll us all for once and for all
Into a loveable, governmental fuzz ball.
After which, and let's do lunch
With the country for an entree.
Just leave me free to be me
To do what I like and think as I please.
Tax me in me pockets all you want.
You can have my income;
I just want my freedom!
This is what I really want to happen:
A majority keeps this country lazy
Into perpetuity, and I'm forever happy.
