Mitt and the Sins of the Great-Great Grandfathers
Kate O'Beirne put the subject of Mitt Romney's Mormon polygamist heritage into clear perspective in an August blog entry at National Review Online. Responding to a report that the Massachusetts Governor's great-grandfather had "multiple" wives and two great-great-grandfathers required no less than 10 "Hers" bathroom towels, she wisely observed:
"Should Mitt Romney join a 2008 race that included John McCain, Rudy Giuliani, Newt Gingrich and George Allen, the only guy in the GOP field with only one wife would be the Mormon."
How great is that?
