The inaudible indiscretion
A New York Times article on Murtha, and his Hardball outburst about ethics charges as "crap", whitewashes him. Here is the extent of the reporting on Murtha's comments on the MSNBC show:
As for the ethics package promoted by Ms. Pelosi, Mr. Murtha said he was complaining that Congressional wrongdoing was superceding other matters 'when we've got a war going on and we got all these other issues — $8 billion a month we're spending.'
