No need to despair

By

Yesterday Rush Limbaugh voiced his deep disappointment over the fact that the tactics of anger, lies, slander and deception seem to have worked in last week's elections. It seems, he said, that even after all these years the American public does not appear to have learned to see through Democrats' habitual deceitfulness and duplicity.

Although this is certainly true to some extent, it must be remembered that ultimately it was not these tactics that brought about the Democratic victory. Republicans' betrayed their conservative ideals to such a degree that in a number of crucial races they were outflanked on the right by Democrats themselves. Had the Republicans stayed faithful to their values there would have been no democratic majority today. We lost not because their brazen tactics worked, but because the party compromised its principles. And this is good news, because it is well within our power to make things right again if we only muster the will.

America wants to vote conservative. The GOP just needs to give a chance to do so.
