Celebrating Saddam's death sentence in Iraq

By

Our contributor Rocco DiPippo is currently in Iraq. Writing at the The Autonomist, where he blogs, he posts pictures and a brief description of an impropmptu celebration he encountered, following the announcement of the verdict.

Loft pronouncements about the death penalty from the EU, and carping from Democrats that the verdict was a pre—election setup cannot obscure the fact that Iraq has tried and convicted an awful tyrant, and the people who experienced the tyranny first hand are happy. Facts on the ground speak louder than liberal posturing.
