Pentagon survivors rebuild
With a third of the country still in deep denial about 9/11 and what it means, somehow the NYT and WaPo have forgotten about another group of 9/11 survivors: The Pentagon employees, military and civilian, who were killed and injured by the third jihadi suicide plane that day. The Washington Times is now making up for that purposeful gap in our nation's memory.
When SecDef Donald Rumsfeld heard the third plane strike, he ran toward the disaster and helped rescue survivors. We never hear about that any more. There were many more like him in that building on that day. They deserve to be celebrated and not forgotten.
