The film of 12 year—old Mohammed Al—Durah dying in the Gaza Strip, made by a French journalist, sparked outrage throughout the Arab world (and in pockets of the Western world). His death was the subject of a stamp in the Arab world, thereby prolonging the impact. 

A recent article in Policy Review magazine, "The French Path to Jihad"   by a superb writer based in France (John Rosenthal) analyzed the very deleterious role that images on French TV have in radicalizing French Muslims.

Today's The New Republic article, "How French TV Fudged the Death of Mohammed Al—Dura"  reveals that the purported death of Mohammed Al—Dura at the hands of Israelis was a fabrication. This follows other articles, including "Who Shot Mohammed Al—Dura  in The Atlantic, that have attempted to set the record straight.
